Whelp, this is one of my last blog posts. I only have five days left in the wonderful land of waffles and frites. I've been lucky to spend the last two weeks in Europe in Leuven with my closest friends.
We have had some relaxing days wandering the markets and shops, picnicking in the parks, and reading in the backyard. We took a day trip to Brussels, shopped, and took one final trip to Delirium, our favorite bar (great beer + cute pink elephant logo!) I've also been running with Abbie to our favorite spots- the Abbey, the botanical gardens, and the castle. Thanks to the running, we have been able to stuff ourselves with our favorite Belgian treats- chocolate, waffles, frites, Kriek, and kebabs!
Unfortunately, I've also been studying and taking my exams. So far, they really haven't been too difficult. I've turned in three papers, took an oral exam (now that was scary!), and have two exams left. One is written and one is online. The professors are much tougher graders here, so fingers crossed!
I am so so excited to head back to The States, but am going to miss Belgium dearly. It really is a home away from home. (Well, except for the mouse in the kitchen and lack of air conditioning.) I can't wait to see my family and friends again, have some Chipotle and Portillos, and be surrounded by everything that is familiar. I've learned so much here and have become a much more independent person because of it. It really was an experience of a lifetime!
See you all SO SOON ❤️
